Applying to live at The Meadows is easy!       


  Applications are available on-site or by clicking on the APPLY NOW link below. 

Completed applications can be returned in several different way. 

  • Schedule an appointment with the Management Office by calling 401-762-0600.
  • Mail your application to the Management Office at:  The Meadows 2 Village Way North Smithfield, RI  02896
  • Fax your completed application to 401-762-1864.


  Once you apply, we will:

  • Review your application in its entirety.
  • Contact you if additional information is needed.
  • Mail you an application receipt letter, and add your name to the waiting list.
  • Every six months you will receive an “Are You Still Interested” letter, which must be completed and returned to remain on the waiting list.


   When we have an apartment available, we will:

  • Conduct an interview with all household members.
  • Ask for proof of income, and documentation of assets.
  • Request a credit report for all household members 18 years of age or older.
  • Request a criminal background check for all household members 18 years of age or older.
  • Request a reference from your current and previous landlord(s).
  • Show you an apartment. *
  • Collect a deposit. 


  Once your application is approved, we will:

  • Collect the balance of your deposit to fully fund a one month Security Deposit.
  • Collect the first month’s rent.
  • Schedule your move-in.


* If you do not accept the available apartment offered to you, your name will be moved to the bottom of the waiting list for the appropriate size bedroom.
